Our Story
Meet the Mumo's Inn Family
Real hosts. Real neighbors. Really here for you.
Our Door Is Always Open. Literally.
Mumo's Inn isn't down the street from where we live. It's directly below us β our apartment is right upstairs.
When we say our door is always open, we mean it literally. Need help with your VAT forms? Come up. Locked yourself out? We're right here. Wondering where to find the best Schnitzel in town? Pull up a chair β come sit with us. At Mumo's Inn, we'll put the kettle on. Or open a bottle of wine. Whatever you need after a long day.
We're Cristian and Irina β he's Ecuadorian-German, she's Peruvian-Spanish, and together we speak Spanish, English, and German. We know exactly what it feels like to build a life between cultures, far from where you grew up. That's probably why we connect so well with military families going through the same thing.
We live right upstairs with our two daughters, who will probably say hi when you arrive. We've shared dinners with our guests, celebrated birthdays, helped families with their first grocery run in Germany, and talked through PCS stress over a glass of wine on our terrace.
"Some guests stay for two weeks. Some come back a second time. Some became friends. A few became family."
β That's not a business model. It's just how we live.
We didn't start Mumo's Inn because we saw a business opportunity. We started it because we know what it's like to arrive somewhere new, not speaking the language, not knowing how anything works, and just wanting a place that feels safe and warm.
This isn't a side project or an investment property managed from a distance β it's our one apartment, and we put everything into making it right for every single family that walks through the door. Take a look inside.
We speak Spanish, English, and German. We answer our own WhatsApp. We've helped families navigate VAT forms at 10pm and driven forgotten groceries over on a Sunday morning. Not because it's good marketing β because it's the right thing to do.
The neon sign says Mumo's Inn, but what we really offer is simple: someone who genuinely gives a damn about your stay.
We're not the kind of hosts who leave you a binder full of rules. We'd rather leave you a bottle of wine and say: make yourselves at home. We mean it.
